This curriculum serves two purposes:
On one hand as a reference to follow the techniques and terminology in a structured way and
on the other hand as a guideline for personal control of the level of knowledge.
This curriculum does not claim to represent the total scope of Arnis Escrima Kali in any way and is constantly refined.
The ranking system within the AEK Norway is defined as follows:
Student and trainer levels:
1st Grade (5th Klase) yellow
2nd Grade (4th Klase) orange
3rd Grade (3rd Klase) green (Possibility for instructor license level 1)
4th Grade (2nd Klase) blue
5th Grade (1st Klase) brown (Possibility for instructor license level 2 (black))
Master levels:
1st Dan (1st Antas) red T-Shirt (Possibility for instructor license level 3)
2nd Dan (2nd Antas) red shirt and red jacket with two black stripes at the heart
3rd Dan (3rd Antas) red shirt and red jacket with three black stripes at the heart
4th Dan (4th Antas) red shirt and red jacket with red hem, one triangle an one stripe at the heart
5th Dan (5th Antas) red shirt and red jacket with red hem one triangle an two stripes at the heart
Grandmaster:
6th Dan (6th Antas) red jacket with red hem and two triangles
The dress code is defined as follows:
Black trousers and white club or federation shirt (or color according to graduation). From 1st Antas two red stripes are added at the sides of the black trousers.
For grading tests proper dress and complete gear is mandatory.
Grading tests:
All graduations built upon each other accumulative - that means all techniques and topics from previous tests are relevant at any given time and have to be shown upon request.
